Workaround for Outlook Time Change Bug

Historically, Microsoft's mail clients have not played nicely with daylight savings time changes. The fix has always been to restart Entourage, but it appears that does not work in their current mail client, Outlook. Here's the workaround.

Adding an exchange account

Please make sure and that you know your server settings before starting the setup.

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.. > Microsoft Exchange

Fill in the following:

Email: ///e-mail address///
Domain: ///domain///
Username: ///username///
Password: your password

Click Next

A Server entry will appear, enter ///server/// and click Next

Click Done

It will take 1-10 minutes for everything to load.

One change that you may want to make is how much mail the phone retains. To do this Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > ///e-mail address///

Click on ‘Mail Days to Sync’ and change it to your preference.

Fix Entourage Synchronization Issues

Entourage copies items from a Microsoft Exchange account and stores them in the Entourage cache; if this cache becomes corrupted, it may cause synchronization problems with the Exchange server.

Change the typing input language and display language

To perform this task, you must have more than one language on your BlackBerry® device.

In the device options, click Language.
Change the Input Language and/or the Language field.
Press the Menu key.
Click Save.

You can set a typing input language to use when you type. The typing input language can be different from the display language. When you set a typing input language, AutoText and other typing options change to the selected language. For example, you might use your BlackBerry® device in French, but type messages in English
